Economy brushes are inexpensive, but are still of great quality. Brushes made with nylon or polyester bristles (or a nylon/polyester mix) work best with water-based latex paints, varnishes, and finishes. They hold their shape and stiffness, and last a long time with proper care. They are also easy to clean.
There are five categories of Economy Synthetic Bristle Paint Brushes: Chip Wall; Jade; Lark; Queen I; and Semi-X (805P).
The brushes in these five categories are available with either black nylon or 100% polyester fill material, set in a plastic handle. These brushes are available with handle styles of either solvent or non-solvent resistant and either Kaiser, pointed or sash handle types. Other selectable parameters include: trim length; trim type; size; thickness; brush type; handle shape; brush grade/quality; bristle type; bristle quality; brush shape; bristle shape; and use.
Synthetic bristle brushes are used for all water-based interior finishes. The smooth texture and springiness of the bristles make it easier to achieve an even finish and make 'cutting in' (creating the straight lines between different surfaces) really easy.
Synthetic paint brushes are less susceptible to damage from solvents and paints. They're also easier to clean and
less prone to breakage on rougher painting surfaces.
