For cleaning larger floor areas, a push floor broom is needed. Choose from wood, plastic, or steel-backed heads and the desired usage grade for your cleaning job.
There are two categories of Push Floor Brooms: One category has a block made of either plastic or wood and requires a tapered or ACME threaded handle, while the other is a unique, steel backed head, that requires a special, 3/8" stud handle that attached to the external, adjustable steel socket. Both category of brooms are available with either polypropylene or polystyrene fill material. Other selectable parameters include: trim length; color; size; trim style, use; and usage grade.
Push brooms work best over large areas, moving heavy debris across an area. The thick bristle pattern has the strength to push large particles and the density to keep from losing smaller debris. These come in fine particle varieties that specialize in sweeping dry powders like flour, starch, and sugar. Push brooms can be used indoors or outdoors, and on smooth to rough surfaces. Some can be used with hot metallic particles while others are intended for light sweeping of fine particles and provide dust control.
